BONEzMAN

I have been seriously into music since the mid 90's when I was doing Irish Traditional music and purchased my small room PA system. I've since added some additional mixing capacity, monitors, processors, and some LED lighting to my own rig. Under my own power I can handle from a solo artist to a 5 piece band in a small bar or coffee house setting. That's all I've needed and it has proven to be plenty of sound for many of the smaller clubs around Detroit. I specialize in the acoustic music with an ear toward reproducing the natural sound of the voices and instrument. Not done much work with the small rig and electric bands.

More recently I've been working with Moon of TruSound doing larger venues. Moon brings a more than 3 decades of live sound experience and enough equipment to handle from the medium size bar to music festivals or stadiums to the table. We're currently rock'n 6 subs, 6 tops, 4 mid range tweeters and 2 long throws that provide a smooth sound across the entire spectrum. There are two more subs that are in need of repair so the eventual count will be 8 subs (should happen soon). My participation is more gripping at the moment, but eventually I hope to be taking on my own gigs that are small enough to not need both of us or larger gigs where we have multiple stages to manage. It's all a matter of time on the equipment and opportunities.

Beyond sound, we also bring a wide array of stage lighting to the shows with/without DMX control. Most shows are modestly lit due to the availability of power and sometimes my LED lighting rig is all we have power for. When power is available we have enough lighting available to do festival stages. A lot of our lights are the older fixtures that are not already DMX ready, but with dimmer packs and addition of newer LED lights our lighting options are expanding rapidly.

Amazingly, all this fits in one box truck which takes a few hours to pack at the end of the night (equipment tetras). Though we have a lot of gigs we are always looking for more work. We're reasonably priced and have access to even more equipment for gigs that needs more than the truck currently holds. We can even do large outdoor gigs with a 10K generator (available to rent by itself). Don't be afraid to ask. Contact charles@musicintheyard.com for booking sound and lighting.
